Why Are We DOING This?

Many of you surely have seen the political ads on TV that make you ask, “Why would anyone DO this? Why would anyone ever run for office?” The misrepresentations (not to mention terrible photos) are jarring, to say the least.

But for precisely for this reason it is important that we STAND UP and SPEAK UP for the values we believe in, values that will continue to move the Oregon Legislature in the right direction.

Like most of us, I believe that women should have the right to plan their families. Like most of us, I believe we need affordable healthcare and housing, and services to get people off the streets. Like most of us, I believe we need sensible gun laws like universal background checks and safe storage. Like most of us, I believe we need to support law enforcement and hold all our public officials and employees accountable. Like most of us, I believe we need to support our public schools. Like most of us, I believe we need to take action to address climate change here in Oregon and in every corner of the globe.

Ballots are out. Can you help me reach as many voters as possible in the next few days with a personal message that will help them understand the facts in this race? Thank you for your support and for all you DO, as we work together for an Oregon that works for everyone!
